▌ BOOKINGS & GUEST MIXES:
disciple of the darker electronic textures. child of the digital age.
birthed from the seedy file-sharing underground of the pre-streaming era, shaped by chatrooms and forums long shuttered: tavoo's taste and style developed in the liminal zones of the late '90s, where nu-metal's fractured aggression collided with the grit of hip-hop and early uk bass music that defied genre boundaries. harsh noise and distorted inputs were enthusiastically absorbed from a young age, foundation hardening into obsession through the early 2000s. the transition to raver happened before a driver's license, and what would become the DJ collection started growing daily circa 2004.
teen years were followed by two decades of living behind DJ booths and in front of massive systems built for architectural damage, all shaping a specific fixation: the physics of sound pressure. both DJing and live audio engineering work - calibrating systems designed for physical impact, not just volume - fed a hunger for the mechanics of bass pressure. with the experience gained from countless deployments, raves, and nightclub rituals, engineering and DJing collapsed into a singular practice somewhere along the way: each being a dialect belonging to the language of low frequencies, articulated by tavoo with fluency.
his relationship with technology has always been adversarial in the productive sense, as systems exist to be understood, then bent. that ethos extends from the studio to the stack to the dancefloor itself... dense ambient textures, forward-thinking techno, and a myriad of drum and bass - all bent toward the same goal: exploiting the body's response to sonic pressure and repetition to conjure a physiological impression that is not easily shaken.
